About the Great Lakes Conference.
The Great Lakes Conference consists of 40 churches in Michigan and Ohio who are
part of the Churches of God, General Conference.
The Churches of God, General Conference is a denomination of 310 churches located
around the nation, but with the greatest concentration of churches in the Eastern half of the United States.
The denomination is involved in extensive cross cultural ministry in various parts of the
world with over 300 churches, more than 60 schools, 4 hospitals and various vocational training centers including nursing, teaching and theological training.
The Great Lakes Conference and the Denominational Headquarters are both located in Findlay, Ohio, which is also the location of our denominational seminary – Winebrenner Seminary. The University of Findlay, a Liberal Arts University begun by the
denomination is also located in Findlay, Ohio.
