FAQ

What are the basics of this process?

Persons accepted will be given an M.Div. education at Winebrenner Seminary

During that educational process, the person will be connected with a teaching church for a residency where they will serve and participate in ministry leadership regularly.

After the residency and seminary training, the person will be required to serve at least three years as a minister in the Churches of God and will receive normal pastoral compensation for that ministry.

Do I have to be a member of the Churches of God to participate?

Not to receive the Fellowship, but we will ask the person to become a member of the Churches of God while they are in residency and serving.

How much is this going to cost me?

The educational process will be totally provided.  Living expenses and a stipend will be paid for the service with the Teaching Church.  The fellow will not be required to raise his or her own support.

Does it matter if I am single or have a family?

The primary focus of this program is developing young leaders, but we welcome fellows of various stages of life and welcome those who have spouses and or children.  The fellows can be male or female.

What kind of ministry will I serve in through this process?

The fellow will be matched to a teaching church that will give a breath of ministry experience.  When the time comes to place the fellow into their own ministry, consideration will be made for the fellows gifts and calling and might include a traditional church, a church plant or some other ministry.
